Denies Micron Allegations and Will Defend IP Vigorously MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 29, 2000--Rambus Inc. today received a copy of a complaint filed by Micron Technology, Inc. on Monday, August 28, 2000. Rambus initiated negotiations with Micron to license Rambus' intellectual property (IP) for use in SDRAM and DDR SDRAMs. Rather than negotiate, Micron chose to litigate. Rambus is preparing a response to Micron's allegations. Rambus expects to prevail in this litigation and to be fairly compensated for the use of its IP. Rambus Inc. (Nasdaq:RMBS - news) is an intellectual property company that designs, develops and licenses high-bandwidth chip-connection technologies which enable semiconductor memory devices to keep pace with faster generations of processors and controllers.
