Shilo, Joseph - bid-ask on charts.

Could be interesting to chart bid-ask around the trades, or to get an idea of the market when no trades are taking place. Or to see the variations of a spread.

Ex: yesterday the Nasdaq Futures only had 3 prints, and they were only bids cme.com (it traded 4 times today).

I am only aware of portfolio softwares that leaves the choice of closing price or bid-ask for the evaluation of the holdings.

Also searching charting software that would leave me the choice of configurations: (stupid maybe)
- time window (futures trade 23 hours on 24)
- start of the day (local or UTC, Zulu...). IMHO the market day starts with the opening of Tokyo, most international money matters have that time as deadline.
- ask, bid and (or) last, after all, you buy at ask and you sell at bid. The last quote is only valid on a trade.

Asking too much, I should start with timing my trades correctly with the tools I have. LOL.
