Tim, I don't think Nixon was incompetent or even close to it. The Nixon "wage and price controls" were a really brilliant scheme. It was probably the stupidest economic policy ever implemented in the U.S. The Arab oil embargo was a testament to his foreign policy prowess, but I will grant him some credit for visiting China. Anyway, if Bobby Kennedy hadn't been assassinated, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Scumbria
