Do you have a ref. for the ML price target of $31? Last thing I could find was a 3/27 release:

ML said analyst Michael Chinng on Monday started coverage of PALM with a near term accumulate, long term buy rating and a 12 to 18 month price target of $65.

That was made when PALM was around $57. Do have anything later?
