It's a shame it's come to that. Intel has ten times the resources of AMD, in every aspect of their business. How the h*ll did it get to the point that they are in a speed race, where they have to be defensive? These are the guys that invented the microprocessor, they make over $3 Billion a quarter, they have 10,000's of employees. They spend probably ten times as much as AMD on R&D. They have more engineers than AMD has employees.
The problem, IMHO, isn't that they are rushing to release speed grades ahead of AMD, the problem is that they got themselves into the position where they were behind in technology, and had to rush. As a stockholder, I sure would like to hear what they are going to do to catch up to AMD in technology and execution.
The Board of Directors ought to sit these guys down and find out what the h*ll is wrong with Intel.
