Jim, Re: the article you posted to The Prophet. Another interpretation of the paragraph you highlighted (see below)... The suit revolves around Rambus Inc.'s efforts to collect extra royalties from DRAM makers for patents on SDRAMs, double data rate (DDR) memories, and controllers interfacing to those chips. ...might be that "extra" doesn't mean "excessive" royalties on SDRAM/DDR, but "any" royalties for SDRAM/DDR (that is, that Rambus is trying to collect royalties on more than just RDRAM). Just a thought. Dave
