Softbank is doing Japan a favor by showing the way to entreprenurial dynamism, venture of capital, adoption and adaptation of successful ideas sourced internationally, and also crossing the artificial boundaries and venturing overseas. The price paid by the Japanese government in the for of guarantees for NCB is far far smaller than what would have been squandered on yet another highway or bridge. The Japanese government should ask itself how many countries would willingly provide a new home for Softbank and Son.
