Blackboard & WebCT
1. In higher education, we strengthened our relationships with esteemed
course management companies BLACKBOARD and WEBCT. Now, faculty
complement existing Blackboard and WebCT course content by adding video
and audio components allowing their students to feel as if they're fully
participating in a course even if they aren't in the actual classroom.
Such relationships make true distance education possible now that
students are capable of watching, hearing, and chatting with a professor
from their desktops. Perfect for students who must travel great
distances to a classroom or for part-time and continuing education
students who have a difficult time juggling work, home, and school,

GeoLearning
2. Our technology partner, GeoLearning.com, recently teamed with
HorizonLive at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), SITEL, and DLJdirect to
integrate live eLearning into an interactive visual learning management
environment.
ABB, with 165,000 employees and 1,000 subsidiary companies, recently
began a major international training initiative built around Geo's
unique 3D learning portal concept, called the Geo Learning Center, and
HorizonLive. Created by trainers in Zurich that reached ABB employees
in Asia, Europe, and the US, ABB's first events trained employees on the
operation of one of their sophisticated industrial control systems.
SITEL a leading CRM support services firm with over 75 call centers
worldwide,
and 25,000 employees, began using HorizonLive in the Geo Learning Center
environment to train their trainers on software -- including the
HorizonLive system itself - in preparation for ongoing use of this
technology to train their worldwide
staff in new CRM products and client service skills.
DLJdirect, a premier online brokerage firm, adopted the Learning Center
technology with HorizonLive, and initiated instructor training via
HorizonLive to its central training team.

New Product - OfficeHoursLive
3. This Fall, we will enable faculty to hold interactive OFFICE HOURS
LIVE. OfficeHoursLive will give collegiate faculty the opportunity to
host office hours throughout a semester, a great way for instructors to
not only get acquainted with the HorizonLive product in general, but a
wonderful means to offer their students an additional study tool that
encourages further student-teacher interaction.
HearMe
4. Our partnership with HEARME will provide our clients requiring
enhanced verbal communication with TWO-WAY AUDIO capabilities. The
two-way audio component will be part of a special package with Version
2.3 allowing session participants to join discussions directly through
their Internet-connected PC, saving them considerable time and money
compared to attending a session in person or via conference call.

5. We formed a partnership with THE PRINCETON REVIEW enabling anyone in
the country to take entrance exam prep courses entirely over the
Internet. High school students need not travel to neighboring districts
to prepare for the SAT, and those currently enrolled in college or
working full-time have the easiest means available of studying for the
GRE, LSAT, MCAT, or GMAT exams. review.com.

Houghton Mifflin
6. We announced a groundbreaking program with HOUGHTON MIFFLIN - HM
WEBSTUDY - offering supplementary instructor-led online learning to
those who purchase Houghton Mifflin College Division accounting
textbooks with the online study guide enclosed. Students using Houghton
Mifflin WebStudy will have scheduled, real-time online access to a
Houghton Mifflin-designated instructor and will be able to access
archives for additional tutorials on the respective chapters. The HM
WebStudy package will be offered as an enhanced online alternative to
Houghton Mifflin printed study guides, and will include other optional
supporting materials including guided problem solving activities,
practice problems and self-quizzes, and links to accounting resources
and a live online tutoring service
CNN's "Business Unusual"
7. HorizonLive CEO Bob Clyatt was a guest on CNN'S "BUSINESS UNUSUAL"
July 11 where he discussed the future of distance education and
described how it will become a prevalent and integral part of academia
in the coming years.
Colleges using HorizonLive
8. Usage of HorizonLive at institutions of higher education grows this
fall, with Strayer University, Johns Hopkins, Columbia University,
California State University, Chico, and Pace University leading the
way. By the Spring 2001 semester, CSU, Chico will offer 30 courses
online, with 75 hours/week of classes.
HorizonLive Online Lecture Series
9. We announced the HORIZONLIVE ONLINE LECTURE SERIES. Beginning this
fall, HorizonLive will webcast presentations and lectures created by
experts in the fields of business, technology, healthcare, and higher
education. Each presenter will create and conduct a 25-45 minute
presentation about topics pertinent to his or her area of expertise and
we will cast it to a select worldwide audience.

12. Attended the Ohio State TELR conference in Columbus, OH, WebCT
User's Conference in Athens, GA, and Syllabus 2000 in Santa Clara. We
received wonderful feedback from collegiate faculty indicating that
HorizonLive is the logical next step in online learning because it adds
a live and interactive component yet to be seen in higher education.
