I can believe those consumption differences resulting almost from personal transportation alone. The local nursery school must have had registration today for the kids. When I came up on it my first thought was what is an SUV dealership taking over the school building and opening up in a residential area?

Then it dawned on me what was going on. I stopped and did a quick count: 57 4x4 SUVs; 11 mini-vans; 3 "normal" cars! I knew SUVs were popular, but this was something else.
