nah... well, I'm just speculating about silicon valley real estate which is a bubble in some areas. I really don't have any idea where things are going but I do know there was massive appreciation which didn't show up in Greenspan's inflation numbers although we all knew it was there, and now there is a cooling off of sorts, which usually means a decline is around the corner..? So my vote would be no more rate hikes. I'm watching this one house as a barometer where a builder bought a fixer in a nice little burb and built out the attic and put hardwood floors in and is trying to sell for $1mm. Last year that house would have gone for 100K over ask, because they all were like that but this year he had to lower the price to 925, still no takers and since he is a builder the loans can get called... theres a lot of people like that. I'm just afraid that around here a soft landing is going to be hard to get in RE...
