You do defend it by failing to want to investigate or prosecute Al Gore for clearly violating them. If we changed the laws, and people such as Gore violate the new ones, while Democrats such as yourself ignore it. Nothing would change anyway. Additionally, you want to reward him for breaking the law by voting him in as President! I'm glad you gave me this opportunity to showcast how hypocritical Democrats and Al Gore are in regard to campaign finance reform.
