Fred Hager's analysis of Micron messages.yahoo.com "Rambus left JEDEC in the early 1990's because the group asked Rambus to give up their technology to the group. Rambus, as a pure intellectual property business, obviously wouldn't survive under such conditions. Therefore, Rambus left the group while their patents were still pending - but not hidden from JEDEC. Micron is now accusing Rambus of derailing the industry by purposely not disclosing to the open standards group the information about their technology (which was open to the group anyway). "
