In order for the MM to close the stock at a lower point they need to
short it. Hence, MM become shorts. They not only try to close it at
a round number but also they may try to move it to the number which they
like. Since there have been so many open calls the numbers they like
are generally low so the MM could be shorting the stock a great deal.
They will not do this forever though and they'll likely get out when they
want to rather than being squeezed.
