IF "WCDMA" patent/license issues remain unresolved at the time that buildout and commercialization occur ( and I think they will), carriers will demand indemnification from manufacturers, which they'll receive.

Manufacturers already know the downside. Approximately 5% to QCOM.

5%, especially when aggregated to account for all manufacturers, buys heaps of litigation time.

Odds are for more/new court cases.

Even though the particulars are certainly distinct, RMBS offers as close a case study as we're likely to be offered.
