Didn't WWI start in Yugoslavia?

Scumbria,

It was started by the act of a Serb (from Yugoslavia) who assasinated the Duke...a Hapsburg...of the Austrian-Hungarian empire. I think it took place in Vienna. But I don't think Austria attacked Yugoslavia in retaliation. And I am not sure if he wounded or killed the Duke who was an idiot, I believe.

But it may have been the shot heard around the world...or maybe not.

I hope this info helps facilite Tim's and your discussion.

If not, deal with it!! <g>
