well they had bad reasons to short. I never short a stock while it's going up. I'm a scared short I wait till there is a reason, something has to be wrong with the company, sector, and market. Most important you have to have the market in your favor along with at least something wrong with the company, and right now the market is biased upward, and there is nothing at wrong with JNPR.

Agree. I would also point out that this is not the type of stock that would be overowned such as JDSU. It may behave the way BRCM did when that one was added to the S and P.
In addition, I think the trend is to tech funds, many tracking the Nasdaq100. This the best way for international investors to buy US tech stocks---Europe and Asia probably buy their nasdaq stocks this way.
I also think the time of year is right for tech and Nasdaq100 index buying will really support this stock going forward.
Also read an article that JNPR taking market share from Cisco a while ago. Nothing that I can see that would hurt this stock, given the time of year.

Valuation not a problem given its high growth rate. The deal with NT will be bringing a lot more orders as well. It can keep eating into Cisco's market share along with some help from NT--as NT is getting so much infrastructure business.
