John,

I am certain I have read articles where they expect communications, wireless sector to exceed 50% growth rate for years to come. also, BTW, I used 70% to simplify the math, as opposed to reducing 2.5 % every year for next 4 years. In the end it wouldn't matter mathematically at the end of 4 years, if I scale it down in the first year, or gradually over 4 years.

I see myself defending I didn't intend to in the first place. My original point is there is limited focus and limited resources (even for Intel!) and how do you distribute it, especially when you know that the cash cow will dry up in a few years. Intel needs a long commitment to make other businesses succeed and every time your CPU business has hickups (agreed there have been quite a few lately), do you panic and mobilize your whole army, or do you make minor adjustments. My preference is later. IMO, it is unrealistic to focus on all areas at the same time.
