How does everyone feel about placing our troops under UN command and control. Gore would do it and, in all probability, Clinton will maintain a strong sphere of influence within the UN. Vice President Al Gore would back expansion of the United Nations' power and peacekeeping operations as president, but Republican candidate George W. Bush said he would "never place U.S. troops under U.N. command."
