Actually, it's the Republican right which is fighting for government control of the birth process. Boggles the mind how this crowd, that preaches limited government as a sacred mantra, wants to insert government into the most private, intimate aspect of our lives. How can a government bureaucrat, at any level, be a better arbiter of whether she chooses to have a child or not, than a woman and her doctor?
