The reason they have 70+million inboxes is because every mom-and-pop spammer in the world has several dozen inboxes. Second, the important point to get from the above quote is that even Microsoft can't run its own HotMail servers on its own software without going to its own engineers to get bug fixes. If your company isn't owned by Microsoft, do you think you'll be able to get bugs fixed so your server will work?
