Hi Bob:
I was by Turner Valley the other day and had a look at the BEA rig. It is located about 1 mile SSW of the initial Berkley well (not the Imp/Berkley well at 2-21-21-3W4). According to the company's news release they started drilling operations on August 17th and this looks to be an accurate statement. Had a look at the South TV wells (4-13) and did not see any activity or signs of pipeline construction.

One other interesting point is we have some new folks drilling close by, namely, Startech Energy. They have been planning to drill this well for at least two years and must have started sometime since the end of June, when I was last by their well location. I think they had similar regulatory problems getting the OK to drill. Their well location is 7-5-22-3W4 and is right on top of a hill so it can easily be seen. The following is BEA's map of the area. bearcat.ab.ca This well is 3 miles north and 2 miles west of the Imp/Berkley 2-21 well and just south of a point marked "location" where I assume BEA planned a future well. I will make a point of trying to have a look at the test of the new Berkley well planned for late Sept. or early Oct. This now takes some extra planning since I no longer live as close to the TV area.

Regards From Alberta
