I don't know that much about AOL. What is the lock-in factor in their case? Is it that their subscribers are not the kind to want a different (better?) kind of service? It's all discussed in chapter 12 of the revised edition - not to mention was covered pretty well over on Teflon's thread. Check under 'option effect' and 'Icarus Scoring'. AOL scores highest in 'the sticky site model' and 'branded site model' in terms of application to CAP under the option effect. Anyway, it's getting OT for gorilla gaming even though there sure seems to be few places willing to discuss the Godzillas these days. As StockHawk said, here's hoping some of our current stocks afflicted by 'naysayers' do as well in the future as AOL has in the past. BB
