Sold out of winning positions on Li'l Stinkers today, as I said I would. . . this was our first group of Junky stocks that popped over the past week. Things like ESTM, OPTC, NPLI, HTEK, EGLO, CRDS, etc.
Moved into issues with sustained momentum since most big traders have gone on vacation. In December, the final 2 days showed both the Cult Heroes and the absolute rubbish moving most in the final days.
Today we see CIEN, HGSI, MLNM, RMBS, INSP. . . on the Cult Heroes list. . . expecting more of the same through tomorrow. Favoring mid-priced LPTH, HLIT, COVD, ASYS, ELON, ENGA, OTWO, SVNX, etc. . .for larger percentage gains than high-fliers.
And on the trashy short-covers. . . things like KTEL, TALK, BYND, CDWI, KOOP, STMP, FCM, etc. . . .likewise expecting more of same through tomorrow. . . check our lists for those that haven't popped. . . if there are any left. I'm only playing a few from this group. . .and only for a quick daytrade. . . .most of these have moved about as far as they are going to move. . . .but there are still trashy issues that could see pops. . .
Still looking for the best exit times for momentum trades like TALK, CVGP. . .ASYS is somewhere between momentum and "isn't this a fibre optic?"
This Holidility is going down precisely as we've discussed. . . .like a carbon copy of the final days of December '99.
