Promotions.com Signs WinDough.com to Seven Figure Direct Marketing Pact On Webstakes.com; Award-Winning Promotion Portal is Major Customer Acquisition Vehicle for Marketers


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 31, 2000--Promotions.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRMO), the Internet promotion experts, announced today a seven-figure direct marketing deal with Windough.com, Inc. a unique patent pending, online prize window. During the one-year agreement, the games of WinDough will be featured on Webstakes.com, the Promotions.com award-winning promotion portal and media property. Webstakes was recently ranked number three in the retail category with an Internet reach of 6.9 percent, according to July figures from Media Metrix.

Promotions.com continues executing its plan to establish Webstakes as the premier promotion destination on the Internet. In addition to offering sweepstakes, Webstakes now features games from SpeedyClick.com, and free offers and samples from FreeShop.com (Nasdaq: FSHP).

The deal is expected to generate hundreds of thousands of new users for WinDough.

Under terms of the agreement, WinDough signed a Platinum Plus "Sweepstakes" direct marketing package with Webstakes. The Platinum Plus package includes guaranteed traffic to WinDough through prominently featured banners, buttons and text links, featuring special offers from Windough. It also includes premier advertising opportunities in the Webstakes.com Update, the weekly newsletter that is delivered to more than 2.5 million Promotions.com members. WinDough will also sponsor the Webstakes.com Content Bar, featured on the site's home page.
