Well Actually Vans is where it is today in large part becuase three of the biggest Momentum Mutual funds bought a combined 2.5 million shares last fall and ran the stock up to 21 but when the stock stalled they began to unload as fast as they could - If you look at the stock it looks as though something bad was announced over the last few quarters when in reality the company had two of its most profitable qtrs ever. I thought Vans had a good chance of breaking 13 but when that obscure analyst lowered his numbers certain funds immediately sell when there is an earnings revision even if it comes from a no name in the industry. Vans will deliver and at some point the stock will move up.
Their product sell through has been awesome - The analyst who lowered his number by 0.04 cent for the year is just playing into the nike scare. They are completely different stories. Keep the faith
