I used to support 10M MVS systems, and IBM did pay us over 10 bucks/hour, but just barely <ggg>. I agree with you on EMC, Mikey is blowing smoke unless he hires a couple hundred crackerjack programmers that are deep into DASD microcode, lock them up in a building for a couple years, and hope they come up with a competitive product line. It really is the software/microcode here in my opinion, and I don't see an Intel in storage that will do the heavy R & D lifting for Mikey here. Regards, John
