Dave and John- thanks for the post on the contract. Dave- in response to your question about who will make the modem - US ROBOTICS/3COM just announced a plan to offer a hybrid 56kbs/ADSL modem which will provide users a transition to ADSL. The strange part though is that USRX, like DSC until recently, is linked to Awares DMT approach to ADSL and not Westell CAP ADSL. I wonder if USRX will offer both, as DSC apparently is doing. Bell Atlantic probably wanted to be first to market and so went with the earlier ADSL technology which is CAP.
