I just read where Lazio is getting about 3 times the money recently compared to Her Majesty. His is coming from New York state residents, Her's from California.

A little thought on campaign finance reform here. People in California seem to be financing Hillary to represent the people of New York. Seems to me that if she wins, California will have 3 Senators and New York 1. This isn't the way the Legislature was supposed to be set up. Should the Senate, which gave equal say to all states, large and small, be run on an at large vote? Doesn't seem to fit The Constitution.

Out of state financing for Senate runs. Say Mr. Gates has a mission, slides a billion dollars to each of 26 Senate candidates. He owns the Senate. Ok, it's a grey area in the law so each candidate would have to drink a lot of iced tea.

What I'm getting at is people at every level elect people to represnt them. If people 2,500 miles away control the election, what's the point?
