The game is almost over and it is all about mindshare. ORCL, SUNW, EMC, CSCO have it in the internet space. ORCL has it for software and he who is first to market, especially BIG companies win the war. ORCL has by far the most comprehensive suite of internet software of any company because they changed their focus from the client server to the internet about three years ago. They have enough money and personnel to fend off MSFT's technological advances because of this lead. MSFT was first to recognize how to market software for the PC and was dominant for over a decade. They had a fantastic ride but they missed the internet curve and the ride is slowing down. MSFT will be a great and formidable competitor but their days of domination are over. That why the PE is where it is and the company will look like the second reincarnation of IBM over the next decade. I would advice you long term shareholder to get out of your denial and join us over at the ORCL, SUNW, CSCO and EMC threads and become prosperous once again. JMHO, Bob. P.S.: Once again, MSFT handled this DOJ case horribly. You should hope it goes straight to the Supreme Court so you can put this issue behind you. Otherwise, the process of going through appeals (p.s.: they could lose in appeal) and if they win then to the supreme court could take years. No management team can stay focused under such condidtions.
