JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 31, 2000-- e MedSoft.com (AMEX: MED - news), a leading Application Service Provider (ASP) of comprehensive healthcare portal solutions, today announced a three-year agreement with the Maryland Regional Cancer Center (MRCC) to design and install a Collaborative Medical Network(TM) (CMN) linking the Center's four radiation treatment centers. This agreement represents the first phase of a four-phase project with MRCC, a leading provider of community based radiation oncology services in the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area.

In Phase I of the project with the MRCC, e-MedSoft will deliver and maintain a CMN(TM) that will enhance the connectivity between MRCC's main Silver Spring facility and three of its remote facilities located in Rockville, College Park, and Waldorf. e-MedSoft will provide a fully-scaleable solution that will improve the ability of MRCC to track and verify billing information, exchange patient information more quickly and securely, and improve data communications between MRCC's various departments and locations. e-Medsoft has designed the CMN(TM) to facilitate future video collaboration, data sharing, and multimedia image transfers that are contemplated in the next phases of the project.

Following successful implementation of the CMN(TM) platform, e-MedSoft will develop a comprehensive network medicine solution that will allow for the real-time exchange of clinical images among MRCC offices, and build a portal for MRCC expanding its information-handling capabilities with the possible inclusion of e-MedSoft.com's complete, Web-enabled practice management application suite.
