John,

<< The main argument is: if CDMA is indeed still trying to cross the chasm, then QCOM couldn't be proclaimed as CDMA gorilla >>

I read the referenced link.

Comments:

* CDMA crossed the Chasm Q4 1997 when it's subscriber growth doubled in a single Quarter. It showed 100% growth YOY last 12 months.

* Since then CDMA has remained the fastest growing wireless technology (end to end, or radio interface) virtually every quarter (last 2 a brief exception) and annually. This is NOT changing.

* CDMA market share is not 10% as post author claims it is 11.5% all wireless and 13.6% of digital wireless. This market share increases (slowly now) virtually every quarter.

* CDMA was accepted in January 1998 as THE primary air interface of 3G wireless by the predominant ((end to end) technology in the world.

* By 2007 (maybe earlier) CDMA will be the dominant air interface in the world and could be 90% by 2010.

How does one spell GORILLA?
