for all norton crashguard detractors....

this should qualify for a news flash of sorts. i just used crashguard to unfreeze a netscape crash! amazing! and i don't even have cg enabled, just installed as part of the systemworks suite.

i was right near the end of my post to tig about the program that allows you to unsend email, when the dreaded illegal operation message popped up. that always means close the browser, which naturally means lose the entire text of the post. but i thought of cg and opened it and began asking it to unfreeze the program so i could save the contents. after two or three tries, it worked! i quickly saved the text to a desktop word file.

i noticed that the netscape window looked okay, so rather than close it, i just finished. and i was able to complete it without another sign of the illegal operation message.

that may be a first for me with crashguard

:)
