Patriot missiles to Israel?

Tomas, that FT piece was extremely insightful. It was one of the more in depth articles on the politics of oil that I've seen for a long time. I always thought those who said that the Saudi's were only US puppets was and is grossly overstating the case.

Also about taxes on oil products:

This falls under the subject "who collects the rents". Right now the consuming nations, ESPECIALLY, Europe are collecting a very large amount of those rents from crude products. This has GOT to piss a lot of these producers off. The whole nationalization of oil assets was about this same subject. It is well documented in "The Prize". It wouldn't surprise me at all if this becomes an issue again. Have you been listening to the speeches coming out of Ven these days? Taxation is mentioned over and over. It would not surprise me a bit if we begin to see a much more militant and expressive OPEC, going forward.
