Lizzie,
I guess I don't know enough about Oracle's internal state 2 years ago to comment on the similarities. I have seen enough analysis of Oracle's external practices and talked enough with x-Oracle employees about what it's like there to hope that we aren't like them in many ways :-)

When you say that you believe the valuation is too high, could you explain? Assuming that Microsoft resumes a period of major growth, what makes you feel the valuation is too high relative to the other tech firms? It seems lower than almost any other big cap tech company and lower than it's been historically. I am curious about what you mean.

Regarding break up speculation, I actually don't agree. If any kind of spinoff ever did make sense, I think Microsoft should be the sole decisionmaker. At the same time, I'm sure a lively debate could be had on the pros and cons of your position. I'm sorry, but I'm going to refrain from engaging, at least at present. Again, I appreciate the fact that it seems you are stating what you feel could actually be a good move from your perspective, rather than attempting to FUD.

Thanks,
Mike
