I hope that you are through bellowing your righteous indignation over on the Ask God thread. How egotistical and self-serving it is of you to come over and tell Christians what they must not believe in
If it is egotistical and self-serving...how does that make me different than any of you?!! Let me suggest to you what is the difference between us: You believe that all other people of different faiths or non faiths are heathens and will be tortured for eternity in hell. You believe you are morally superior to them, and you hate them just as your God hates them. I, on the other hand, have respect for people of all faiths, including all of you good Christian folks.
I am not trying to destroy your bible. I am only asking you to READ it. If you still think it is the inerrant word of God, fine.
Be aware, though, that you do not believe your scriptures at all, nor do you honor them. You like the fact that you can sin all you like, and there will be no justice--provided you profess a belief in Christ. You like the fact that someone can live a nearly perfect life, full of charity and giving, but will be tortured forever in hell fire if she does not acknowledge Jesus as God; while a Christian can pillage, rape and murder, and still spent eternity eating apples and oranges fresh off the tree. You don't find anything odd in a morally perfect being stacking the deck in such an odd fashion?
If you believed the words of Jesus, you would do this:
MARK 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Don't drink poison. Other Christians have done so, and they all died. With all the revisions the Church has made to remove such words as "piss" from their bible, do you think they would remove such harmful words as these? No. Because these words have the mystery, the magic, and the secrecy. So what if it costs a few lives from time to time from the mentally ill or weak, that look to their bible for a sign of comfort??
You might also want to give me ALL OF YOUR MONEY, as Jesus Christ says you MUST. I am asking for all of it. This is an imperative. An absolute.
LUKE 6:30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again
>>Do not continue this crusade of yours that is evidently caused by a lack of love in your life>>
I don't think lack of love causes CRUSADES? Do you?!!<ggg>
Now I have a sermon to prepare. Thank you for your comments and your time... |
