If one should "make hay while the sun shines" we can't help but wonder why AMD is making such little hay.

I hear that, but AMD is making good profits still. Is that because their overhead is low, or because they don't have any future potential superstar (network/broadband/wireless) products that are money losers now?

Wondering about the difference here, between Intel's and AMD's cash producing capability.
