Ok, but wouldnt it be better that you left out the adjective "clutter" since it could be interpreted as subtlely negative.

At times its better to use a simple approach, but at times it also helps micro-analysing it. There was alot of micro-annalysis concerning the various BEARISH WEDGES prior to the JULY selloff. If one was to only look at the price movement during that period and that higher lows were forming(keeping it simple) one may have missed that strong selloff. Thats not to say that micro-analysing always works either, but it did catch that selloff.
