There goes the most valuable aspect of your new instant message system.

Group market/trade calls could be instantly sent (by your SI Guru brigade...<g>). Anyone that is sending spam should be dealt with as are regular spammers. And of course, I would suspect that one can remove one's self from any buddy list at will...thus, removing one's self from a spamer's reach....right?
