I'm not a fan of Sony - I bought a top of the range PCG-F490 notebook (nice machine - when it works) from Computer City only five months ago and had a board failure in mid July. I had paid over $300 extra for Computer City's "premium" service plan. They have had the computer in their service department for more than 6 weeks and they don't expect to return it to me for at least another week (at the earliest). They claim that they asked Sony for "express" service. I hate to think how long "normal" service would take?
