CALGARY, AB, BURNABY, BC, Sept. 1 /CNW/ - TELUS Mobility and Motorola announced today the launch of the first Internet-enabled tri-mode Motorola Digital StarTac® phone in Canada. The new tri-mode Motorola Digital StarTAC joins forces with TELUS Mobility's CDMA digital network and i-Web(TM) Data Services to enable users to wirelessly access the Internet.
The Motorola tri-mode Digital StarTAC phone is designed to meet both personal and business needs with features such as Short Messaging Service, and VibraCall(TM) Alert for receiving incoming calls quietly. Users will benefit from a longer battery life with up to three hours and 15 minutes of talk time, and seven days standby in digital mode.

The tri-mode Motorola Digital StarTAC operates in both digital and analog modes allowing customers to roam across Canada taking full advantage of digital service at both CDMA 1.9 GHz and 800 MHz, as well as 800 MHz analog service.
