I thought it would be fun to see who's still got this thread bookmarked :)

Well, after many months of fabulous curried tuna, rice, and veggie casseroles, I'm pleased to say that I'm out of tuna, out of canned veggies, and almost out of rice.

Just within the last two months or so, I finally had to buy kitty litter, toilet paper, paper towels, vitamins, and such for the first time.

My gallon water jugs of tap water have been a godsend for watering the flowerboxes and outdoor potted plants this summer. Now refilling them is a habit. I can't believe I never figured this out before.

I got another 1/2 cord of wood this summer from a friend (with about 1/2 cord left from last year) and the wood stored so neatly in my garage pleases me (I spent hours cleaning the garage before last year's delivery, and did even more garage cleaning getting ready for this year's delivery, and afterwards I said, "Martha [Stewart] would be proud").

I can't wait for it to be cool enough to fire up the woodstove for the first time this fall. There's no way I would ever have installed the woodstove if not for my Y2K concerns, but it's the nicest legacy of folly I can imagine :)
