An interesting small blurb in August edition of ComputerWorld magazine that I've reproduced here. I couldn't find a link to it on their site. This speaks well for ITEs technology investments:

"VCs still smitten with dot-coms

Venture capitalist (VCs) are still enamoured of technology companies in general and dot-com companies in particular, despite a rocky year on Wall Street. From 1997 to 1999, VC investments rose from US$11.5 to US$35.6 billion, and investments this year have already surpassed that mark, according to the Money Tree National Survey conducted by New York-based PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

The study revealed that of those investments, technology companies received 95 per cent of all funding in the second quarter of this year."
