Top Ten Reasons I want to remove it (Norton AV scan) from my right-click start menu:
1. I have never used it.
2. I never will use it. (I start scans from the program)
3. It can be set to start up and scan automatically.
4. I use the Start Button Right-Click Menu (SBRCM) exclusively to access "Find" and "(windows) Explore". And I like it simple the way it was.
5. Norton put it there without asking me.
6. No other application (other than Winamp) on my machine (and there are hundreds if not thousands) had the audacity to put their short-cut links there.
7. I only have three shortcuts on my desktop and I refuse to have more duplicate, unnecessary shortcuts on my SBRCM.
8. I don't want it there.
9. Getting rid of it has become a challenge.
10. I get immense satisfaction from fixing things Norton has screwed up. : O)

P.S. Some day I'll print a list of things Symantec has changed on my computer and then tells me they cannot undo. Some of it is really lame. I may be one of the reasons they stopped free telephone support (except for initial install issues) with live customer service reps. I used to drive them nuts. : ))
