by Choi Ji-young Sep.01.2000

A wireless Internet service, which allows people to exchange video and photos
through their cellular phones, is now available. One generation below
IMT-2000, this service allows people to receive and send data equivalent to
100 pieces of A4 paper in 10 seconds.

SK Telecom and Korea Telecom Freetel announced their successfull beta test of
'IS-95C' on September 1. SK Telecom initiated service around Seoul and
Inchon as a showcase, aiming to extend the area of service nationwide before
the end of this year. Korea Telecom is to begin service starting December 2000
in Seoul and its satellite cities and will provide normal service to other major
cities starting in January 2001.
