Aus, I think that you might be misinterpreting the lawyer boiler plate in their "putting out fires" NR that followed the CEO's comments. Reimer also said Lexar's technology allows users to take pictures "faster than most of our competitors." Because Lexar has had to redesign its products after losing a patent-infringement judgment to competitor SanDisk Corp. (SNDK), the company said it can't be sure that the redesigned products have the same speed advantage as its previous equipment.
As an investor, my interpretation was that, yes, the products are redesigned and probably do run faster, but, with the lawyers running to the rescue to try and do damage control it's a small miracle that they didn't have the disclaimer that " any investor that buys LEXR stock should have their head examined...don't buy lexr, yada, yada, yada"
The large blocks that have been running through on LEXR, speak volumes about what the big money boys are thinking. Of course, the 11th, which is the end of the quiet period isn't 6 trading days away..... Regards, Lew |
