Regarding big business vs. labor, I'm wondering something... do you support anti-discriminatory policies or no? I'm not being judgemental here, I for one am opposed to most of this legislation (affirmative action for example).

But see, heres the thing. As a manager of a bunch of technical personnel I have found one consistent group that underperforms in the workplace... not a minority group, or gays etc. - it is actually new parents.

If I were to set any personnel policy I'd like, and say I had no conscience, then I would say firing pregnant women would be fine and all new parents should be layed off immediately unless they can prove they won't be leaving at 6 pm to pick up junior. Really, I have been a member of a fairly diverse workforce in my life and this new parents situation is a problem across the board.

Do you support discrimination against new parents, and if so how does that carry over to the "family values" hyperbole put forth by the republicans?
