Good points on the unions. I also don't like them but im beggining to be converted when I see the $50M pay packets CEO's give themselves while the workers get 1% a year. Gold will do well if recession hits, and I would love to see that. I think market volatility is here to stay, mainly because we are in a new era. Why? Because we have fully available online realtime trading for ordinary people, with 24h trading around the corner. The internet has changed everything. No more slow shifty brokers charging 300. commisions. I have real time streaming level 2 qoutes and news at home. This was a dream only 1 year ago. Actually im going to take up Java programming as it is so impressive. Technology has changed everything and I can only imagine what will be possible in 2 years. Back to my investing philosophy, IMO the big moneys will be made by those with the most discipline, buying in extreme weakness/pannick and taking profits when all your neighbors are buying. And of course only in the hot sexy sectors. Talk Later...
