hi-- Ericsson Offering CDMA2000 Course

To promote the growth and development of San Diego's skilled
telecommunications work force, Ericsson is offering this fall a new curriculum
in wireless technology with UCSD Extension.

Under the agreement, Ericsson is providing new internally developed
curriculum on cdma2000, a third-generation offshoot of the code division
multiple access digital wireless technology, and offering scholarships to enable professionals to expand their
skills and be part of today's fast-paced, high-tech work force. Ericsson is funding 10 course scholarships during
the next two years.

Ericsson's course, entitled Special Topics in CDMA Engineering, will be offered in the fall and will be
applicable towards the UCSD Extension CDMA Engineering certificate program. In addition to being held in
the traditional classroom setting, the course is one of a few select curriculums to be offered through the
university's online education program. The enrollment fee is $495.
