Amalgam of high points of recent brokerage reports from Deutsche Banc and Unterburg Towbin:

re BRCD:

SAN adoption is widening. SAN acceleration should continue for at least 3 more years

BRCD has accelerating momentum: took market share last Q, increased *sequentially* by 7%, to 54% of total SAN market. Shipped more
SAN ports last Q than in *all of 1999*

Last Q was 4th Q of accelerating sales. Despite law of large #s, BRCD likely to keep 100%+ sales growth over next few Qs, which makes it
a company with few peers

trend continuing for enterprises to deploy larger and more complex SANS. Last year typical order as 2-4 switches. Now has some orders
involving 1K or more ports. BRCD revs in 2002 should be >$1B

1st half of 2001, BRCD third-generation product line will come out (w/in 6-8 months). These will be major hardware innovations, with 2-gig
switches, higher port counts and *increased switch intelligence*. This will help provide continued high growth into latter part of next year

BRCD expensive *because* has few peers.
