Indeed, H Power could prove to be "only" a trade...

It was perhaps Lehmans intention to support the stock at its "reservation price" of $14, rather than the 16 it fetched on the IPO. Given the behaviour it was quite obvious when it bounced the second time... while I initially suspected it was a weak stock till then.

This raises the question what the stock does in the future.

Leh is clearly no samaritarian. They may have supported it because they have a big buyer behind - with the intention to keep the stock and no traders like us who scalp off a dollar or 2 (or more if the market gives)...
The other agenda is [relatedto the] exercise of the 1M greenshoe which is an incentive to support the stock in a thin market. EOD action far above the $16 could imply some hedging activities here.
